Welcome to 2026!

Firstly, thank you to each and every one of you, for your valued support of our groups and workshops.  We have had a lot of fun watching you all progress and grow in this wonderful hobby.  We are looking forward to seeing all your new and exciting projects in 2026.

We felt it would be easier to create a newsletter with a full update of the exciting things planned for next year.

Changes to regular monthly groups
Price Increase – 1st February 2026
Sadly with expenses rising we are expecting an increase to hall hire, therefore from 1st February we are going to have to increase our group fees to £20 (bookings on the system paid before this date will be charged at £15)

Times of Groups
Wednesday – 9am – 3pm Main Hall, maximum number 15
Friday – 10am-4pm Committee Room, maximum 8
Saturday – 9am – 5pm Main Hall/Coffee Bar, maximum number 20

Sew Passionately
Sue & I are very excited to announce we are creating our own small business.  From early 2026, we will be offering workshops, courses, 1:1 training, fabric, thread, sewing supplies, kits and more under our new Brand of Sew Passionately (LMEG will keep its group title).  We are in the early stages of getting everything prepared including our website for online ordering.  We would like to thank you all for the support in purchasing from us and now we will have it all online in one place for your to order.

As many of you know we are moving from Picktime to Accuity and we hope this will reduce some of the admin time. From January payments will be taken upon booking for all events that we run.

Bookings can be made 3 months in advance, and these are available on a rolling 90days.  This will hopefully prevent confusion and mix ups.

We are still working our way around the system, so bear with us if you have any problems or queries. 

Spring and Autumn Weekend Retreats:

Following our successful event in November, we have evaluated and taken on board your comments, we will be reducing numbers to allow us to be available to support you better. With this in mind, we felt it beneficial to therefore only offer 3 day places at a cost £150.  We will continue to invite pop-up shops.  Weekenders can be booked via the link above

Workshops:

We will continue to offer workshops from September to May.  These will be bookable through the system, link above.  These will include, memory bears and Christmas bears, Christmas workshop,  tote and free motion, Quilt weekend with edge to edge. Numbers will be limited to 6 per session and we will have 6 spaces available for sewcial sewing. As always our workshops will include all materials, snacks and lunch, you just need your machine and threads!

Would you please kindly note, that the doors will open at the time of the event.  This allows time for the room/s to be set up and all health and safety checks completed.  We must be clear of the building, no later than 15 minutes after the event finishes, to allow for breakdown and clean up before the next user.
