Beginners Quilt Retreat:

This 3 day non-residential retreat is a space for you to indulge in quilting heaven! If you want to spend 3 days with a small group enjoying and learning to quilt then this is the Retreat for you.

All materials will be supplied, cut and ready to go! You will need to bring is your sewing machine (embroidery machine optional) and your basic sewing tools (iron/board & cutting mats are available)

Sue & I will take you through these 3 days at your pace, with plenty of time for demonstration and practice.

Day 1

09:30 Arrive & Set up
10:00 Welcome Refreshments and Health & Safety
10:30 Basics of Patchwork
12:30 Lunch
13:00 Start to piece your quilt top
15:30 Refreshments
17:00 Needles up tidy round ready for day 2

Day 2

09:30 One of us will be ready to let you in!
10:00 Continue to put your top together
12:30 Lunch
13:00 Final leg of the quilt top – make your binding/quilt sandwich
15:30 Refreshments
17:00 Needles up tidy round ready for day 3

Day 3

09:30 One of us will be ready to let you in!
10:00 Quilting – using a walking foot or Edge to Edge with your Embroidery Machine
12:30 Lunch
13:00 Finish the quilting and let’s get it bound
15:30 Needles up!
16:00 Time to say goodbye – Cars Packed, Hugs as needed and a Safe Journey Home
